LOCATION
MIAPP is located on Garching Research Center, in the buildings of the Excellence Cluster "Universe". The Garching Campus is 15 km (9 miles) north of Munich and close to the airport. It is one of the biggest and most modern centers for science and research in Europe. Physics institutes of both Munich universities are found here, as well as the Max Planck Institutes for Astrophysics, Extraterrestrial Physics, and Plasma Physics, the European Southern Observatory, and several other renowned research institutions and high-tech companies.
The Munich metro line U6 connects Garching Research Campus with downtown Munich in 25 minutes.
